The Sweetest Thing

This morning when I woke up for my run I kissed Dave goodbye and wished him safe travels since he was heading to Chicago for work. I wasn't going to be back in time to see him before he left so I gave him the biggest hug and kiss.

On my way home from my run I see Dave standing at the corner in his suit with his suitcase. He said he had to see me one more time before he left. This simply made my heart melt! He is always doing the sweetest things for me and this is exactly what I needed after a stressful few days!

Thank you Dave for making my morning and more importantly making my life so great! I love you with all of my heart!!

The love of my life!

18 Days to Go and I'm a Nervous Wreck

18 days until I get to marry the LOVE of my LIFE and I couldn't be happier.  I am truly the luckiest girl in the world to be marrying such a sweet, caring, loving and handsome man.  I had a wonderful weekend celebrating with my friends and family at my shower and bachelorette party (I'll post about that later).
How cute is he?!?!

However, most of my friends and family know that I am very shy, some even like to pick on me for it, which kind of hurts. So, the thought of walking down the aisle while everyone stares at me is completely terrifying.  I'm so ready to marry Dave and celebrate with our friends and family, but I just cannot get over this nervousness.  I keep waking up in the middle of the night with nightmares about the wedding; I sure hope this is normal!  I'm just ready to be husband and wife and want these nerves to disappear.

I guess I just need reassurance that this is completely normal...

Couples Therapy

Last night Dave and I had our last pre-marriage counseling session with our Pastor.  We are very lucky in that our Pastor does a lot of business up in the DC area.  So for our past 2 sessions, we were able to meet with him here, instead of down in Charleston.  Before we even began our counseling sessions this summer, we had to take a compatibility test which asked us various questions about how we resolve conflict, when we would like to start a family, finances, etc.  Needless to say, I was a bit nervous about these meetings with our Pastor.  However, he was very easy to talk to and has provided us with so much insight on how we can strengthen our relationship as a couple.  We have taken so much of what he has said and used it over the past couple months and have seen our relationship grow even more.  At the end of last nights meeting we went over what would happen during our ceremony and he went over the readings and it suddenly hit us; we are getting married so soon!  We were both beyond excited and could not stop smiling thinking about how much closer we were to saying "I do."  I'm ready to start the rest of my life as Dave's wife and cannot quit thinking how lucky I am to have met such an amazing person to spend the rest of life with.
